Started playing guitar when I was 13. Played in the usual assortment of high school and post high school bands. At 19 I went to Berklee College of Music (but you know, I don't let that ruin a good time)
Played all over New England in an 8-piece R&B band called The Fabulous Blends for 3 years and then took on a weekly gig at Harper's Ferry in Allston. During this time I lived in a house with eleven other musicians where there was constant, constant jamming, many bands, and many basement parties.
Played in a rock trio called Pat the Burning Dog for two years with a drummer and Chapman Stick player and then spent three years playing in a band called School of Assassins. Took a break from music for a couple of years while I got married and had a kid then I started playing in a heavy rock band called Coraburn.
I left that band when my 2nd son came along and I was starting grad school and starting a new job. All that is over now and both of my sons are old enough to be without dad a few nights a week. Time to play music again.
Other points of interest: I can sing pretty well and have been the lead singer in a number of bands. I can play alto saxophone, but not all that well, but well enough to play a melody or something. I did a lot of acting and musical theater when I was younger and am comfortable performing live.
